2026 Convention News
May 7, 2026:
Preparations for the 2026 Braver Angels Convention – taking place In Philadelphia, June 25 to June 28 – are progressing well. (Click here to preview the agenda.) Just got word from Mark Metzger, the Convention Director, that Braver Angels could use some extra hands on Wednesday, June 24, to help with event setup. Volunteers on Wednesday are also welcome to serve as greeters on Thursday, the first day of the Convention.
This opportunity is particularly great for people in the Greater Philadelphia area. Volunteers for these roles do not have to be Braver Angels members or registered for the Convention.
If you’re interested in volunteering, email convention-volunteers@braverangels.org. And to apply to attend the Convention, click here.
Braver Angels PA News
May 7, 2026:
A Series of Truly Historic Civic Events Organized by Braver Angels PA’s Southeast PA Alliance
Two‑Part Immigration Common Ground Series
If you’d like to work with fellow residents of Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District with varied perspectives on immigration to find practical approaches to immigration, Braver Angels is sponsoring a Common Ground on Immigration workshop Saturday, May 16, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in Doylestown.
This is an immersive workshop where an equal number of participants with differing views on immigration come together to share personal experiences, explore concerns, and discover where common ground exists. By the end, the group will have created unanimous Points of Agreement on values, concerns, and possible policy directions.
Participants will then have the opportunity to present the group’s proposals to Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), the Republican co‑chair of the House Problem Solvers Caucus, in a Constituents Conversation event on Thursday, May 21, 4:30 to 6:30 pm in Bristol. Congressman Fitzpatrick will be joined by his fellow co-chair Democrat Tom Suozzi (NY-03). The Congressmen will listen, ask questions, and engage directly with participants.
Who can participate in the Common Ground workshop? Any resident of Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District willing to work with fellow residents to find common ground on the difficult, but critically important, issue of immigration, is eligible to participate in the workshop. Observers from the district are also welcome. For more information about the workshop and to sign up, PA-01 residents should click here. The event is free; use promo code BRAVER during registration to get a free ticket.
For the Constituent Conversation, residents from District 1 and individuals who reside outside District 1 are welcome to join the Common Ground workshop participants as observers. To sign up to be an observer for the Constituent Conversation, click here. The event is free; use promo code BRAVER during registration to get a free ticket.
Reminders and venue addresses will be sent to registrants prior to each event. For questions, please contact Southeast PA Alliance Co-Chair Julianne O’Neil at joneil@braverangels.org.
